Wanted: Runaway Tooth

It happened. My first baby has lost his first baby tooth.

LOST being the imperative word. It seems to have gone undetected under the guise of popcorn.

Not to worry. Hayden is certain that it qualifies his Pirate Persona as that much more realistic.

ARRR!

Just planning ahead...

Says Hayden, contemplatively:
I've been wondering, Mommy. Do you think I'll have to search very long for a wife? Like, more than an hour?
Whereupon I explained to young Romeo that the act of "searching for a wife" differs from that which one does in oh, say, a scavenger hunt.

A few more pensive moments delivered some delightful insight into Hayden's Vision of the Ideal Wife:
You know, Annabelle's not in my family - she'd be a good wife.
(pause)

But then... Emma IS bigger!

I believe he'll have his hands full doting on these two lovely young ladies for the time being.

What's in a Name?

What God hath Wrought.

Merriam-Webster
defines the word wrought as follows:

1 : worked into shape by artistry or effort
2 : elaborately embellished
3 : processed for use
4 : beaten into shape by tools
5 : deeply stirred

I can think of no other word which so clearly and poignantly describes the work that the Lord does on our hearts. The means and the end, and everything in between. All is there in that list of five.

In Numbers 23:23 we find the verse. This wonderful promise, this assertion made in the thick of Israel's trials.

Success or Failure.

Peace or Strife.

It is entirely His handiwork and To Him belongs the Glory.

So, What's in a Name? For me - a reminder. The reminder of a promise that regardless of the failings of this day, He is at work. He is the Artist, fully equipped with all of the necessary Tools. I need only Be Still. Thus begins the chronicle of this family's journey through His Workshop.

Please, join us! Come and see what our God hath wrought.

O Lord, conform me and transform me. Work me into shape, ready me for Your use, and cause my heart to be unceasingly stirred.
